How is it the fault of the DRUG when people are exceeding the recommended
dosage??!
I was given 10mg 2x a day by my doc for chronic pain and neurological
issues. Works great for me. I am very careful not to mix it without
checking with the doc first.
I think it should be dispensed daily at the pharm like it is in the
beginning. Here in Canada we have liquid methadone & is mixed & placed in
childproof bottles & supposed to be locked up at home when u have “carries”
I can see where ppl think they can get away with “just a little” sip of the
next days dose, not knowing THAT IT CAN BE LETHAL to their breathing days
after the effects have worn off.Pharm dosing may be a pain but thats the
price for the choices we make & worth it in the end.
@Billy3051 I have to totally agree with you here, I am on methadone and
take one oral dose a day that is currently 16mg’s but i have been on dose’s
as high as 80mg in the past. If ppl take this drug who are not suppose to
then they might overdose or die. And ppl should take there dose at the same
time everyday to avoid building up extra methadone in there system and
overdosing!
People die cause either they are NOT perscribed it or they take more than
they should and with other drugs. It gets a bad rap cause a guy buys it on
the street and takes say 70 mg which if you have never taken it will kill
you. You are started at 20mgs and increased 10 every 3 days till your at
proper dose. These people dieing have no right taking it. Its a super
powerful drug that will kikll if your being stupid with it. It has saved my
life. I take it properly though. So enough of the bad rap!!
