  • louie p:

there is no such thing as a ammo horder .it’s people stocking up when the
prices are still affordable and available.you thought this last ammo
shortage was bad . things are going to get worse when the last lead
smelter plant closes in December 2013 .much higher prices or none at all
things don’t go down they go up..pistol pete is getting ready like a lot of
other people that target shoot, and hunt.?

  • va shooter:

This is sooo damn funny….i ran across one that idiots videos earlier and
    you are spot on?

  • Candie Blue:

    You mean “she”

  • Jim Oksvold:

The real issue here is that some Democrats want to put 50% tax on ammo. It
is reasonable to assume that this will go through some time later. This
makes Ammo an Investment Item. Pistol Pete is merely documenting the Great
ammo scare of 2013. Better documented than the ammo shortage during WWII
anyway. Having 1000 rounds for each gun on the shelf is only prudent.
Production of ammo is so low per gun that it ought to be a state secret.
    Buy Cheap and Stack Deep.

  • adameater:

    thanks, and I agree!!

  • billy cramer:

hoarders, preppers, and resellers are affecting all ammo and creating
    problems for everyone.

  • DC Beretta:

He gains a profit every time he walks out the door.. he’s obviously
wealthier than many of you and the jealousy on this page shows it.

  • billy cramer:

buying just whatever you can get your hands on is an addiction. I only buy
    certain types and calibers.

  • whatnot987:

How is ammo unlike any other commodity? Gold, silver, food or whatever. The
price of ammo continues to rise year after year, so it is an investment. In
2005 Winchester Whitebox 9mm 100 round value packs were $11.34 including
tax at Walmart.(I used to shoot it like I shoot .22 now) Now the same ammo
is almost 26 dollars. That’s roughly a 129% increase in 8 years. So, yeah,
Pistol Pete seems a little extreme, but it does make sense as an
investment, as a tangible commodity, as our dollar fails…

  • Spank4Jen:

    Too funny!!

  • whatnot987:

I’m still paying more than double what I paid for ammo 8 years ago will
have nothing to do with supply and demoand either. So short term, on ammo,
I think you’re correct. But as far as the long term, it’s inflation, thanks
    to our Federal Reserve System.

  • terminalprepper:

Im Petes neighbor.. Glad hes keeping his store stocked up, In shtf i know
    where the brass is..

  • billy cramer:

pistol pete is right to a point. ammo is an investment. pete and troy just
take it to far. and I got news for them ammunition does go bad after a few
years no matter how it is stored. I also invest in ammo. I buy some for
plinking, hunting, self defence. all ammo combined is about 4000 rounds and
    is shot and rotated often.

  • jerry jeep:

Excellent point sir. I don’t believe one person’s ability to document
“fuels” anything. People must have the resources ( time, money,
availability of the product, etc) to mimic what one man is documenting. ”
Until people stop doing that”……we are not in control of our own
government, they are running wild, and we are concerned with a person
showing us how this product increases in value? We all think differently
and vote differently…Best of luck to all of you.

  • adameater:

I agree, panic buying will eventually stop and you’ll see prices and supply
increase. Once this happens Pistol Pete’s Youtube channel will be
    irrelevant and “odd” lol.

  • adameater:

Not disagreeing with you, i do the same. I have more than 1,000 rounds per
gun on hand. Democrats have always had it in for guns and gun rights, so
nothing new there either. My point is that pistol pete’s videos fuel the
buy, buy buy all and everything you can mentality. Until people stop doing
that, we won’t see supplies go back to normal.

  • buck riley:

In my opinion….and I am not an Economist, the price of ammo will NEVER go
down !! The reason being they can’t downsize it! A half gallon of ice cream
is now 48 ounces, a can of tuna fish just? shrunk again, a coffee can that
used to be 16 ounces is now 13 ounces, yet you pay the same. Ammo will only
go up my friend…as they have not figured out a way to downsize the
    product.

  • billy cramer:

yes: old ammo can shoot and will shoot. but over time it becomes more
unstable. you will have more failures to fire and an accuracy issue.
rimfire bulk ammo is the worse. jacketed centerfire holds out the best and
can last for many years where as rimfire is best before ten years.

  • thepantscommandme:

Ammunition does not go bad after a few years, I have shot WW2 to Desert
Storm surplus rounds and it shoots fine. Proper storage has to be
maintained for it to last that long.

  • whatnot987:

The current ammo “crisis” or shortage is supply and demand, I agree. But
the long term price increase, in ammo, is due to inflation. It’s a hidden
tax and a consequence of printing money out of thin air. Prices of all
commodities and services are steadily rising, and they have been for years.
The fact that 4 years ago I paid $62.00 dollars internet and basic cable
and now I pay 73.00 for the same service has nothing to do with supply and
demand. And after the ammo shortage is over, the fact that

  • adameater:

    i don’t think he’ll be sharing

  • terminalprepper:

I wont be sharing his stash either…lol

  • MrHemimechanic2:

the dollar isn’t losing value that fast as people think. If 223 gets to be
a dollar a round you really think people will pay for it? Some will of
course but recreation shooters will stop buying and the person that has
30,000 rounds will probably try and sell it. The value will hit a price
ceiling and will go back down. Pete thinks the value will keep increasing
to were it won’t be affordable at all. This ammo crisis is simple and
    demand.

  • jerry jeep:

When 223 is a dollar a round, gasoline will be $7.00 and a gallon of milk
will be the same. YOU will be paying it! Ammo hoarding is merely a hedge
against inflation. Unlike milk and gasoline, it does not go bad in your
lifetime. If I had 10k right now to exchange for ammo, I would !

  • Addicted2Ammo:

I am Addicted too, hence the name, you are just a douche.
