Methadone Treatment: Open Question: I Think My Methadone Clinic Is Violating Hipaa Laws…?
Open Question: I think my methadone clinic is violating Hipaa laws…?
I am on methadone. I have been sober since I started. Right now I am what they call “courtesy dosing” in Maryland. I am from Texas but I have been here for two months and I am having to use the clinic here. Here’s the problem, when you are allowed to take methadone home the bottle comes with a label that has you’re full name, the date, the dosage and your treatment number. But they want me to bring my bottles back and I don’t feel comfortable doing so. They won’t let me remove the label before I bring then back and ASL the do is throw the bottles away ( I have seen them do so). They cant even tell me why I need to bring them back. And despite the fact that I told them I didn’t feel comfortable bringing something with that information on it back to be thrown away, I’m being penalized for not. I told the clinic director that I was going to file a grievance on her unless she could tell me why they needed them. I told her all I wanted to do was remove the label. She tools me I needed to go to another clinic. I’ve already paid there four the next few Weeks and asked about refund. She said they don’t give cash refunds and hung up on me. Not only that but when you use a new clinic you have to pay an introductory fee that ranges from $ 50-$ 100. I cant get that back either. I feel like there should be something I can do.
Voting Question: If you have heard about the “ibogaine trearment”, Id like to know of similiar treatments legal in USA?
Pleased respond with a real treatment similiar to ibogaine treatment for addiction, no I don’t want to hear AA/NA meeting attendance or 12 steeping it or abstinence, or weed, I want experimental treatment, similiar to ibogaine treatment (legal in Canada/Mexico) (look up ibogaine on wiki). I seriously want to kick the addiction and complussion and possible help/cure mental illness/chemistry. Give me real answer. No methadone, suboxone, ect. Something as promising as ibogaine treatment.
I am actually not interested in its”high/euphoric” -ness that ibogaine offers, just to try something new. I am addict to many drugs, I’m a poly-user and every receptors in my head are shot to hell, so much so I do not get high on anything anymore. I either OD, pass out to a deep sleep, or just get into trouble home/legally. I’m at wits end, can get high. Can get drunk but it seems to kick in at the same time and I simply fall asleep. I just want this obbsession to stop. It is said ibogaine is helpful in that OCD. Again like I said before give me real answers not a load of crap contradicting me. I said “help” no “miseducate me and give no hope and say [cancer boy], just get over it[your cancer]”(i currrently have no cancer but docs have been looking at the strangeness of my colon; that and had gallbladder was removed due to cancerous cells; prevention.
Resolved Question: How do you get methadone to get off of narcotics? Do you have to do inpatient?
I am wondering how the whole process goes to get methadone to get off of narcotic pain killers? Would I have to do inpatient care, or could I just see a therapist like once a week and still have the methadone to help? And also, since I have a child would she be taken away from me? I am afraid afraid to call the treatment service because I am afraid of the unknown.
